Vedanta Institute of Medical Sciences, a fast-growing medical college under MUHS, is strategically located in the green area of Sasvand village, Dahanu taluka of Palghar district of Maharashtra state. Our institute is very well connected to major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Surat and Ahmedabad through National Highways (Golden Quadrilateral) as well as Western Railways. Apart from its location in a pollution free dense green environment beneath nature with warm humid and comfortable weather, the transportation facilities will be further facilitated in the future by the innovative project of Bullet Train and Mumbai - Delhi Expressway. The student's stay will be very comfortable in the 57-acre campus, which includes non-AC and AC accommodation (with provision for single/shared accommodation), delicious and hygienically prepared food from 2 central messes, good indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Our campus is known for its excellent hospitality and guidance to newcomers. Our hospital is a 770 bedded tertiary care centre that will take care of all emergencies round the clock from neighbouring districts and states who receive free medical and surgical treatment including nutritious food. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students enjoy a clinical/practical feast of a myriad of clinical conditions and difficulties through community outreach programs and a large number of emergency and elective patients. The hospital and college are staffed by academic and skilled faculty of various designations who will teach and train the students.
