Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences in association with Sub –District Hospital, Dahanu, DTT Palghar and IMA Dahanu had conducted “CME on Quality in Sterilization Services” on 4th Feb 2020 at Auditorium, Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, Dahanu, Palghar.

The inauguration was done by the hands of Dr Kesari sir, Director, Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences.

The event started with felicitation of chief guests followed by lamp lightning ceremony by chief guests Hon Dr Kesari, Director, Vedantaa ; Dr Sagar Patil, Assistant DHO, District Surveillance Officer, DMO, Filaria Control Officer, Palghar; Dr Bhadbhade, President, IMA Dahanu; Dr Anand Gosavi, MODTT, Palghar; Dr Sandeep Gadekar, THO, Dahanu; Dr Abhijit Chavan, Organising Secretary & Dr Amol Ghule, Assistant Medical Superintendent, Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences.

The CME started with a short presentation about Vedantaa and its services for the tribal people of Palghar by Dr Amol Ghule.

After that our guest Speaker, Dr Sagar Patil spoke about National Family Welfare Program and Overview of Contraceptive options- Spacing & Limiting methods. It was followed by various lectures by our other speakers like Dr Rajendra Chawhan, Laprascopic surgeon, Palghar since 1993, owner of Maharashtra Blood Bank; Dr Bharat Mahale,Gynecologist, Cottage Hospital, Jawahar since 2004; Dr Rajendra Tiwari, Associate MRCOG, Director cum Proprietor of Shree Maternity & Nursing Home, Dahanu, working for upliftment of rural health in Palghar district ;Dr Poonawala, Member of “Wellness of Women” committee formed by FOGSI, awarded Best secretary award in IMA Maharashtra state in 2016-17,Recipient of “Well women award for taking awareness campaign” , awarded for FICOG at AICOG Lucknow.

Around 200 doctors of Govt MS/M.O/SDH/RH/PHC of district Palghar and all the faculty of Vedantaa took benefit of this grand CME at Vedantaa.

There was a celebration called SPARSH , it is an initiative for elimination of leprosy.
Hon’ble DHO sir along with all the delegates took oath for the same.
All the delegates, honoraries & students took the oath under the guidance of Dr Arvind Gosavi Sir.

Additionally the formation of the MAGMO union was concluded today at our CME programme.
The event concluded with certificate distribution to all the delegates. MMC have credited 2 hours for this CME.

A tree plantation programme was conducted in the end by all our chief guests and speakers as a mark of memory. It was a great academic feast for all.
