Training for ART centre was conducted at Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences,Dahanu from 23rd March 2021 to 25th March 2021 under the guidance of MSACS , NACO and YRG care NGO team.
Team consisting of various faculty from different speciality like medicine , microbiology , pathology , TB & Chest and also team consisting of paramedical staff consisting of lab technicians , pharmacist , data operator were present for the training.
Various faculties from different NGO’S like SAATHI, PATH and also from MSACS came for the training.
All the teaching & paramedical staff learnt about the functioning of ART centre, Roles N responsibilities of staff in treatment n Prevention of HIV n also learnt about myths n social stigma pertaining to HIV.
Dr Deepak Khismatrao , Project Accelerate, Dr Manish Bamrotiya , Treatment Director , Project Accelerate , Dr Rohini Gupta for ART in Children , Mr Ratan Gadhave , DPO Thane and Dr Riddhi Patel From YRG care NGO were present to enlighten VIMS staff.
Dr Pramod Deoraj, Joint Director , MSACS also encouraged the team with his presence.
All the staff enjoyed the 3 days training which will be fruitful for the VIMS ART centre.
