Nursing simulation workshop at Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre.
A workshop on Nursing simulation was held at Vedantaa Institute of Health Sciences in collaboration with NGO and Emergent Meditech Pvt Ltd on 4th and 5th December 2020.
The programme was held with a great goal of educating nurses for critical care management of COVID patients with co-morbidities, so that our nurses can provide efficient care to COVID patients and manage emergencies proficiently.
The workshop consisted of demonstrations in orienting the manikin simulator , management of breathlessness, allergic reactions , acute chest pain and poisoning/hypoglycemia. It was led by Mr Joy Mukherjee and Miss Sadhna from Emergent Meditech.
A hands on ventilator training was also conducted , and nurses had the opportunity to practice individually on the ventilator and provide feedback as well.
The workshop trained 20 nurses per day and one team leader was allotted to 5 nurses for better training with personal attention.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks from Mr. Joy Mukherjee and Ms Sadhana.
